OUR EASTER HIGHLIGHTS
Record breaking snowfalls over the past three years have seen Easter school holiday and spring skiing grow in popularity year on year. Longer, sunnier days and quieter pistes make Easter skiing an appealing prospect for many families, with flexible options to travel for a full week, or shorter stays over the Easter weekend to maximise the bank holidays.

From tots to teens, we have developed a range of award-winning ski instruction programmes that your children will adore. Developing their skills and confidence in a safe and exciting environment, we provide the best adult to child ratio you’ll find on the mountains. You’ll be free to relax and ski all day, safe in the knowledge that your children are happy and having buckets of fun.

We deliver some ‘TLSki’ for parents thanks to our dedicated in-resort teams and services. We’ll take care of all the little details, providing shuttles to and from the slopes, complimentary ski guiding, private lessons and sessions in our PB Ski Clinic. We’ll also arrange delicious mountain lunches and relaxing spa sessions.

Not everyone is a downhill ski demon, and there is so much more to a Powder Byrne holiday in the mountains to explore and enjoy. We’ve developed our exciting and varied ‘Mountain Host’ programme to ensure that every moment of your holiday is packed with enjoyable experiences.

OUR RECOMMENDED EASTER RESORTS
We operate across the finest family friendly resorts in Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Japan and our bespoke ski instruction programmes are in full swing every week of the season from 12th December. For Easter skiing we highly recommend the Swiss resorts of Arosa, Lenzerheide and Flims, the Austrian resort of Zurs and the Japanese resort of Niseko.
Super-chic, snowy Arosa is a great option for families who are new to skiing with our Learn to Ski in Style and SnoZone Beginners programmes the perfect way to gain your ski legs and learn quickly. Conveniently located just 2 hours from Zurich, and lying at 1,800m Arosa offers a safe option for family-friendly snow-sure Easter skiing with lifts going up to 2,653m with a mix of blue, red and the occasional black piste from the top ensuring skiers of all abilities have some high altitude slopes to tackle.
The best kept secret in Switzerland, Lenzerheide is the perfect choice for families with children of all ages and stages, with all of our exclusive children’s programmes in full swing during the Easter period. The resort is open until the 9th April 2022, and with the link to the Arosa ski area, there are plenty of snow-covered, empty pistes to keep even the most avid skier occupied. An early morning ski from the Rothorn to the east side of the ski area, the longest descent in resort, is the ideal spring skiing run.
With extensive, snow-sure skiing, we recommend Flims for families with young skiers of all abilities with our exclusive children’s programmes Yeti Primer, Yeti and SnoZone. The Vorab Glacier ensures that Flims has an extended ski season, with over 70% of the ski slopes above the altitude of 2,000m. A favourite run at Easter for Powder Byrne clients and staff alike is the black 35 down from the Vorab Glacier at 3,018m to the sun-soaked Lavadinas bar at 1,774m, for beginners the blue 32 from the top of the glacier is also a great option for guaranteed great snow.
Boasting a fantastic late-season snow record with lifts as high as 2,450m, Zurs is popular with experienced skiers at Easter and great for tweens and teens with our SnoZone and PB Ski Academy programmes. The microclimate of the snowy Arlberg region guarantees late season powder and Easter in the Arlberg is also home to the Tanzcafé Arlberg Music Festival between 29th March and 13th April 2020, transforming the local bars and restaurants into dance halls for the swing and jazz bands.
