OUR EXCLUSIVE NAGANO SKI SAFARI FEATURING NOZAWA ONSEN & HABUKA
Our exclusive Nagano Ski Safari 2024 is for keen skiers who wish to take on and experience skiing the famous light powder of Nagano. This truly is a once-in-a-lifetime ski experience across the snow-sure resorts of the Japanese Alps, travelling for 8 nights with your Japanese Powder Byrne Ski Guide featuring Nozawa Onsen & Hakuba.
About Nagano
Join our private ski guide as they showcase the best skiing within a 3 hour train ride from Tokyo, focused on the Olympic resorts of Hakuba and Nozawa Onsen.
Enjoy 3 nights at a hand-picked hotel by the slopes in Nozawa, and 3 nights in the Hakuba Valley, giving you access to up to 10 ski resort areas with a wide variety of pistes and excellent lift- accessible back-country.
Nozawa Onsen is the perfect ski town. Its 25 ski lifts lead to the summit of Mt Kenashi unlocking miles of ‘side-country’ skiing. Despite its popularity, it retains a very traditional atmosphere.
Highlights include the annual Dosojin Fire Festival and the Japan Ski Museum. Nearby, you can enjoy the famous snow monkeys of Jigokudani.
The Hakuba Valley will not disappoint, offering 146 ski lifts, and over 200 ski runs. The region offers stunning scenery known as the Japanese Alps. Our guides will create personalised itineraries, including the best bars and restaurants to ensure a memorable experience.
The Nagano Ski Safari will run on selected departures from the 22nd to the 30th of January, 2024.
This ski tour is available for adults only. Ideal for students who have completed the Piste to Profession programme, friends, couples, families with adult children, and solo travellers. You must be a confident black run skier with off-piste experience.
Our Japan Ski Tour packages prices are based on 8-night B&B-based accommodation (3 and 4-star) with upgraded accommodation options available on request and subject to additional cost. The package includes all private long-distance group transfers, all in-resort transfers (where required), all ski passes for each region, night skiing options in resorts, a professional Japanese-speaking Powder Byrne Ski Guide throughout the tour, and additional private tour guides.
