The Skiing
VIEWS OF THE WORLD FAMOUS MATTERHORNThere are three lift stations in Zermatt that whisk you up the mountain – the Gornergrat Railway, the Sunnegga Funicular, and the Furi Gondola. Zermatt offers some of the most impressive skiing in the world from satisfying reds and undulating blues to acres of off piste, all under the spectacular backdrop of the iconic Matterhorn. The resort is home to a network of 200km of pistes across three sections – Sunnegga-Bauherd-Rothorn, Gornergrat-Stockhorn and Trockener Steg-Schwarzsee, with top stations over 3,000m. There is lots on offer for intermediate skiers, about 20 per cent of runs are classified black, and the usually-deserted Stockhorn section provides a good challenge. Our clients love the ‘White Hare’ run which goes from the top of the ‘Hohtalli cable car’ down to ‘Gant’ dropping 1000m in height. It’s a long run with an adrenaline-packed descent and lots of fun twists and turns.

Take the highest open-air cog railway in Europe, journeying over ravines and through forests to the altitude of 3,000 metres. Enjoy the mountain panoramas from the top with restaurants and direct access to the pistes.
Located in the hamlet of Furi above Zermatt, this cosy mountain restaurant uses local meat and produce from the farm to create unique and exquisite specialities. Recommendations include Croute au Fromage and Fondue.
Ski Programmes for Children
CHILDREN'S SKI PROGRAMMES IN ZERMATTOur award-winning and fun-filled children’s ski programmes are in full swing in Zermatt during February half term.
Our unique Yeti programme for 4-9 year olds is the ultimate introduction to skiing with the best child to adult ratios available on the mountain. With our qualified ski instructors and dedicated Yeti Assistants accompanying our groups on the slopes we’re able to provide a seamless supervised programme from the moment the kids leave the boot room.
We are delighted to welcome older novice skiers to SnoZone Beginners! Our specially designed programme combines expert ski tuition and plenty of fun and games with the rest of the SnoZone crowd. Our approach enables your 10 to 14 year olds to learn to ski with peers of the same ability, while also giving them the chance to spend time with other friends in SnoZone.
SnoZone is adrenaline-fuelled and full of non-stop action! Our unique programme for 10 to 14 year olds welcomes kids who can ski confidently on red runs who want to challenge themselves by developing new skills, learning new tricks, and taking their skiing to the next level.
The PB Ski Academy operates in various resorts and provides a multi-disciplinary, action-packed ski week, to improve their technical piste skiing, speed on the slopes, freestyle techniques and off-piste skiing.
Ski Programmes for Adults
ADULT SKI PROGRAMMES IN ZERMATTOur complimentary ski guiding service and other winter programmes for skiers and non-skiers are running in Zermatt during selected weeks throughout the winter season.
Our on-piste ski guiding is perfect for competent blue run and more experienced skiers and offers our clients a sociable and relaxed way to enjoy the mountain. Our Ski Managers are all great skiers who know the terrain and how to ensure you get the most out of your skiing. They’ll show you around the ski area, advise you on the best runs, avoid annoying bottlenecks, and of course, secure the best tables for lunch.
In-Resort Service

Our resort managers are experienced team leaders who know how mountain resorts work and have great relationships with our partners and suppliers. They will oversee everything from the moment you arrive in the resort to the moment you leave at the end of your holiday.
Upon arrival in the resort you will be presented with your pre-booked ski passes, and our team will oversee your equipment rental requirements as swiftly as possible. We work with carefully selected rental shops in each of our resorts, ensuring you have the widest choice of skis and boots for all abilities.
All clients have access to our resort shuttle service, ensuring that you waste no time getting to and from the slopes. By evening, our drivers are available for shuttles around the resort to allow you to enjoy the range of restaurants and bars available.
Our complimentary ski guiding service is hosted by our ski managers, and although they are not instructors, they are great skiers who know the terrain and how to get the most out of your skiing experience. They’ll personally meet you at your boot room and show you around the ski area, advising on the best runs, avoiding any bottlenecks, and of course, securing the best tables for lunch.
