Our Story

Founded in 1985 by entrepreneur Rory Byrne, Powder Byrne was created with a simple but transformative idea: that a ski holiday should be as seamless and well-managed as it is exhilarating.

At a time when ski travel was largely self-directed, Rory Byrne introduced a fully hosted experience – combining expert guidance on the mountain with dedicated in-resort service. It was a new approach that redefined what a luxury ski holiday could be.

From our unrivalled skiing holidays in Switzerland, Italy and Austria to our summer mountain programmes and Japan adventures, Powder Byrne has remained focused on delivering holidays with unparalleled service that feel personal, considered and entirely taken care of.
