Classic India
10 NIGHTSThe Classic India Itinerary takes a look at some of India’s most treasured and infamous landmarks, giving you and your family the ultimate adventure and an amazing insight into the rich culture of India.
On your first day, you will arrive in New Dehli and will be transferred from the Airport directly to your hotel. You can spend the afternoon and evening in the hotel and relax with the option to explore the area and enjoy high tea at the Haveli Dharampura. Go and experience the character of Old Dehli and take in the charm of New Dehli. Explore various gardens, parks and street food markets and admire the many temples and historic sites to be seen in this breathtaking location.
The next few days will be spent in the stunning Jaipur; home to two UNESCO World Heritage sites: Jantar Mantar, which features the world’s largest sundial, and Amer Fort, an impressive fortified city next to the Maota Lake. In the evening, you could watch a movie at Indias most famous cinema, the Raj Mandir Movie Theatre.
The next stop on your tour will be Agra, where you’ll spend the following two nights. Agra is particularly famous for two sites: The Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal. These two World Heritage sites are close enough together that you’ll be able to visit both on the same day. Spend the evening watching “Mohabbat the Taj” show, a romantic love story of the Emperor who built the Taj Mahal and his wife, live performed by over 80 artists.
The penultimate destination of your trip to India will be Khajuraho. Home to a plethora of ancient temples, this is the perfect location for sightseeing and taking in some of the historic cultures. Once you’ve had your fill of sightseeing for the day you will travel to Varanasi, where you’ll experience the special Hindu ritual of worship; Aarti.
On your last full day, you’ll travel back to Dehli, where you can enjoy your last evening in India with a wholesome meal at a restaurant of your choice before flying home the next day.

India is such a large country with many unique places waiting to be explored, so many, in fact, that it’s hard to highlight just a few. Below you’ll find some of our top “culture and history spots” to whet your appetite. With Mughal, British, and Dutch forts and palaces galore as well as 37 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, India isn’t short of interesting sites, not the least of which being the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world.
The Taj Mahal is known as one of the seventh wonders of the world, it’s the white marble jewel of India and a protected UNESCO heritage site. Located on the bank of the Yamuna River in the vast Mughal garden, this is certainly one reason to visit this great country. Built by the order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife between 1631 and 1648.
This amazing tomb was built in 1570 and inspired several major architectural innovations in India, leading up to the design and construction of the Taj Mahal. This mausoleum itself stands on a high and wide terrace platform and is surrounded by the beautiful subcontinent gardens where you can not help but stand and stare in admiration.
The Ganges is the most sacred river to Hindus and spreads over 2,525 km across the boundary through India and Bangladesh. This is the third largest river in the world by discharge and empties into the Bay of Bengal. The Ganges is the lifeline to millions of Indians who live along its course and depend on it for their daily needs. Sri Harmandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple is named after Hari the temple of God. This beautiful temple is a central religious place of the Sikhs, but also a symbol of human brotherhood and equality. This incredible golden spectacle represents the distinct identity, glory and heritage of the Sikhs.
This flamboyant capital of India’s Rajasthan State epitomises the glamorous flavour, beauty and colour of the royal family that once ruled the region in 1727. A walk down the Old City, known as the “Pink City” for its famous pink buildings and you will pass the majestic courtyards, museums and gardens which will take you back to the days of the royal residence. Explore the vast grasslands of the Kanha National Park Tiger Reserve, which is located in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Follow your guide into the land of the tigers and watch the animals gather at the watering holes of Sondar Tank and Babathenga Tank where you will see birds of prey, tigers, jackals and wild pig.
Step through the Suraj Pol, otherwise known as the Sun Gate and enter into this magnificent fort located in Amer, Rajasthan just 4 km from Jaipur. Standing high on the hill in pale yellow and pink sandstone this is a spectacle for miles around. Take the journey back in time and imagine the victorious armies returning and enjoying the spoils of war inside the four sections and wandering courtyards.
Goa and the Maldives
14 NIGHTSLocated on the western coast of India in the coastal belt Goa is known as Konkan. Enjoy a gentle breeze, swaying palm trees, the never-ending shoreline, the beaches with golden sand and the regular lapping of the waves.
On arrival in Mumbai, you will meet our representatives who will transfer you to your Hotel. Spend the next few days exploring Mumbai’s seven cluster islands combined by the natural harbour. Tour around the Prince of Wales Museum, the Dhobi Ghat and Man Bhawan, where Gandhi initiated the Non-Cooperation, Satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi and Khilafat movements.
After a short flight from Mumbai, you will arrive in Goa, the tranquil beach paradise on the west coast of India. Settle into your new hotel and relax from the hectic pace of everyday life and truly enjoy yourself.
Besides the natural beauty, the fabulous beaches and sunshine, travellers to Goa love the laid-back, peaceful, warm and friendly nature of the Goan people. After all, more than anywhere else on the planet, this is a place where people really know how to relax.
After the few days relaxing on the beaches, head to the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’, Kochi. Kochi is a beautiful city made of islands connected to Ernakulam on the mainland by bridges and ferries. This quaint town has seen historic visits from sea faring traders in the past from Portugal, China etc bringing to it different cultures that make up its fabric.
The final flight takes you to Male, in the Maldives. The Maldives is one of the smallest countries in Asia but its beaches make up a huge part of its beautiful land, with their powdery white sand. When the tides are low some of the beaches seem to go on forever. After your time on the beach, transfer to Male Airport to board the flight to your onward destination.
Diwali in India

After arriving in New Dehli Airport you will be greeted by your driver who will transfer you to your accommodation.
