FROM OUR EXPERIENCED RESORT TEAMSYou will be fully supported throughout your holiday by our experienced resort team. They will oversee everything from the moment you arrive in the resort to the moment you leave at the end of your holiday. Led by your resort manager, our teams also include drivers, ski hosts and children’s club assistants. Contact details for your resort manager and team members will be confirmed before your holiday and on arrival.
Our Powder Byrne resort shuttle service will be available for transport to and from the slopes when required. By evening our drivers are available on request until 9.30pm for shuttles around resort to allow you to enjoy the range of restaurants and bars available. Shuttle service timings may vary on our mid-week Family Day. Our resort team will advise accordingly.
We offer complimentary on-piste ski guiding exclusively for our adult clients. Our handpicked ski guides will show you around the mountain, help find the best runs on the day and book the best mountain lunch spots, allowing you to leave your piste maps unused. The minimum ski standard for guiding is confident blue run skier (Powder Byrne level 3). The maximum in a group is no more than 10 adults and the groups are often between 6 – 8 people. Each group is arranged according to ski ability. You do not need to pre-book our guiding service and can decide on a daily basis whether you wish to join.
Powder Byrne’s exclusive homemade food delivery service has been developed closely with our clients to offer you a range of delicious meals prepared to order, and delivered to your fridge whilst you are on the slopes. There is also the option of a Powder Byrne Private Chef (subject to availability). Please click here find out more information about our Swiss Cook and private chef service.
You are able to order from the Swiss cook menu by emailing our Client Concierge team or through our online order form here.
You will receive a personal visit in the evenings from a member of our Powder Byrne team at a time convenient to you. During this visit, you can talk through your arrangements for the following day and request anything you would like booking. You will also receive feedback on your children’s day in our programmes, if applicable.
Mountain Host is our dedicated service for non-skiers who wish to explore all that their resort has to offer away from downhill skiing. For clients who wish to join our Mountain Host programme we host a coffee morning on the 1st day of your holiday to discuss non skiers’ interests, with the aim of organising various mountain activities and hosted walks during the week.

We are able to request babysitting for your holiday. We recommend letting us know your requirements as soon as you can pre-travel due to high demand during peak travel periods.
Powder Byrne babysitting rates are 20 CHF per hour in Switzerland (25 CHF per hour on New Year’s Eve), plus the cost of a taxi for babysitting that finishes after 9.30pm.
If a babysitter is to be shared between two families, the amount charged will be time and a half and the children must be cared for in one room. Payment is to be made in cash directly to the babysitter on the same evening.
Cancellation is to be made 24 hours in advance; otherwise there will be a charge equivalent to 1 hour. In the interest of safety, Powder Byrne do not recommend leaving children unattended in the hotel rooms at any time.
Where possible we use Powder Byrne staff to babysit, however this cannot be guaranteed. In the event that a Powder Byrne babysitter is not available we will try to assist by arranging a local babysitter. Costs will vary and are not controlled by Powder Byrne.
Your babysitting arrangements will be fully confirmed on arrival into resort.

Mountain Dining
GASTRONOMIC EXPERIENCES ON THE MOUNTAINOur recommended mountain restaurants include restaurants in both Arosa and Lenzerheide ski areas. Both resorts are linked and accessible for skiers. In peak season restaurants fill up fast, so we recommend booking restaurants in advance. Please contact the client concierge team for restaurant reservations.
Hörnlihütte is a typical mountain restaurant located at the top of the Hornli express ski lift with views over Arosa and towards Lenzerheide. It serves excellent meat dishes with a superb sun terrace.
Alpenblick is an excellent mountain restaurant in the Hörnli ski area that specialises in rotisserie chicken. Alpenblick is also an excellent evening restaurant and is accessible by horse and carriage.
Stüva Cuolm serves amazing Italian food, based at the foot of the slopes on the left side of the ski school. It is part of the Kulm hotel so is also accessible by non-skiers.
Motta Hütte is one of the best restaurants on the mountain and it gets busy for this reason so advanced booking is advised. Motta Hütte offers delicious burgers, schnitzels and cured meats and has an extensive wine list.
Scharmoin is located at the mid-station of the Rothorn cable car. It offers a grill restaurant upstairs and a self-service restaurant downstairs where everything from Bison to bratwurst is served.
Village Dining
GASTRONOMIC EXPERIENCES IN AROSA VILLAGEPlease note that some restaurants require credit card details to confirm the booking and operate strict cancellation policies.
Bullrian offers a set menu known as the ‘food journey’ and serves healthy Mediterranean cuisine. This restaurant is a great place to spend the whole evening thanks to its true family feel.
Aifach translates to ‘simple’ and that sums up the charming philosophy of the restaurant perfectly. Instead of an à la carte menu, Aifach offers a lovely 4 course set menu based on ‘being with friends and feeling at home’.
Le Bistro is arguably the best restaurant in Arosa. Based in the Hotel Cristallo, Le Bistro offers gourmet French cuisine with the fondue Chinoise being the star of the show.
Lamm & Leu has an exceptional, high-end steak restaurant upstairs, and a burger bar downstairs. It is immensely popular with guests and books up fast!
Grottino is situated at the bottom of the village next to the Lake. It is a family-friendly pizzeria good for pizza and pasta.

Family Day
OUR SUGGESTIONS FOR YOUR MIDWEEK FAMILY DAYInspiration and information on some of our recommended activities for family day (if you are not hitting the slopes). For more suggested activities or to book any of the below activities please contact the client concierge team.
Arosa offers many ice sports activities, all available at the local centre. Top-quality facilities await you, and the necessary equipment is available to hire at the venue. The ice sports available are – ice skating, ice hockey and curling.
Horse-drawn sleighs are busy all over Arosa and the drivers, horses and sleighs congregate like taxis by the station. If not nearby the station then your Powder Byrne team or hotel can call to make a reservation.
Both of these sports are great alternatives to downhill skiing and offer an energy exerting experience in the cold weather. In Arosa, all equipment is available for rent and lessons can be organised to gain some valuable knowledge in these 2 different winter sports.
There are 3 main toboggan runs in Arosa and they are free of charge to use. Toboggans are available to rent and a ski pass may be required. It is essential that helmets are worn at all times.
