THE ROLE
In select resorts, our non skiing Powder Byrne adult guests are offered an exclusive, personalised mountain host service. As a Mountain host you will be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable day for non skiers who have booked into the program.
You will be expected to plan and lead guided walks incorporating a pre booked lunch stop into the day. If conditions suit, Powder Byrne may book a local mountain guide to take the group snowshoeing off the beaten track or other similar activities. In this case it will be your responsibility to plan the logistics with the mountain guide and accompany the group on the activity.
This role is key to providing the excellent service that we are renowned for and promoting the experience that non-skiers are able to enjoy in a mountain setting. It is an extremely rewarding role, a great opportunity to spend time in the mountains whilst gaining valuable work experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading of guided walks for non skiing adults
Booking mountain restaurants and liaising with Powder Byrne’s local suppliers
Providing excellent local knowledge of the area, weather / snow conditions and the resort (including restaurants)
Booking and organising of non skiing activities for the group
Assisting the team with Children’s Club sign-in at hotel boot rooms
Evening client visits providing daily feedback
Assisting with ski hire / transfer day
Airport transfers (if required)
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be fit/active and able to walk long distances at resort altitude
Relevant resort experience
Full Clean Driving licence (desirable)
21 years or above (desirable)
Good ski ability (desirable)
Adaptable resourceful, patient and diplomatic
Professional and positive attitude
Excellent guest relations and customer service skills
Strong Team player
Good organisation skills
Excellent time management
Good understanding of the safety issues involved with mountain activities and supervising a group
Languages: German (desirable)
UK or EU Passport
Appropriate number of Schengen Area (EU) travel allocation days to complete contracted dates
(UK passport holders can only travel to the area for 90 days in every 180 days)
