Sitting atop a hill overlooking Adelboden, the Parkhotel Bellevue has been a staple of the village skyline for over one hundred years with the same family running it for 75 years and it stands in the original location to this day. You'll find a mix of classic and modern with large windows and lots of natural light with a focus on “the theatre of nature”, something we wholeheartedly agree with doing when you find yourself in such stunning natural surroundings.
The well-equipped and spacious rooms offered at the Parkhotel Bellevue are perfect for families looking to relax after an intense skiing session. The hotel has organised their rooms into three distinct themes: nature, privilege and traditional. Nature rooms are designed with a focus on peace and security, privilege rooms with an eye for comfort and mountain views, and tradition rooms are sunny and cosy. We recommend the "Nature" Family Apartment as the ultimate family-friendly solution. The spacious parent's room with bath, parlour and balcony offers room to play and relax, while the children sleep in their own pine-finished room, which is connected to the main room, and enjoys its own shower and bathroom.
The hotel restaurant offers a deeply-rooted style of cooking that uses fresh and local ingredients from nearby markets. Different menus are offered (including a vegetarian menu) to suit the wants and needs of all guests. Chef Jürgen Willing has been in charge of the kitchen since 2003 and alternates between classic French/Mediterranean cuisine and brasserie-style of Italian cuisine to provide fresh and new dishes to his guests. The hotel bar specialises in traditional Swiss liqueurs such as sherry, brandy and grappa, but also offers an extensive list of wines that are available at every meal. The hotel's own wine cellar holds more than 800 different vintages, most originating from Switzerland, Burgundy, northern Italy and the Bordelais region of France.
The hotel spa offers a variety of treatments perfect for relaxing after hitting the slopes. Enjoy a beauty treatment such as a facial or a relaxing massage or wrap. You can also enjoy a soak in the stunning outdoor baths. All the wellness programmes here are centered on nature and make it their business to be as relaxing as possible.
We have had a phenomenal ski holiday thanks to the PB team and incredible service and attention provided. Nothing was too much trouble - we've been spoilt beyond belief. Every person has been an absolute joy to co-ordinate with. We've simply had the best time! You can't improve - you're simply the best.
What a fabulous holiday. PB attention to detail and removing all the aggravation of a ski holiday was superb. The whole PB team was excellent. The children loved them. Ski guiding was also really fun.
Nothing was too much, every request was met with a smile and a ‘can do’ attitude, from the ski guides to kids club to the resort manager. This was our first PB holiday but we are already making plans for our next!
Powder Byrne team were amazing. Couldn’t have been more helpful give our hospital stay. Helped us beyond expectation on their day/night off.
Our high points were the PB guides, who were brilliant and great company. Our babysitter who the kids loved. The resort manager was brilliant despite being very unwell, she's a real trooper!
Another great PB experience. The Yeti manager was exceptional - a real credit to PB who made the holiday for our youngest son and therefore for us.’
