The Chedi is centrally located within Andermatt, opposite the station on Andermatt’s main street. It is a two-minute walk to the Nätschen gondola or a chauffeured ski bus takes four minutes to get to the Gemsstock gondola. The Andermatt and Sedrun ski areas are now connected by the newly built gondola creating a bigger conjoined ski area.

The Chedi Andermatt has 119 spacious rooms and suites in which traditional materials, such as warm wood, dark leather and natural stone create a stylish and intimate atmosphere. Large picture windows provide breathtaking views over the village of Andermatt to bring the magic of the mountain landscape into your room. Each set of rooms has its own fireplace and balcony, as well as a large bathtub and separate rain shower.

The Chedi offers a culinary paradise with a diverse selection of four restaurants and bars, ensuring a delightful dilemma for diners. Among these, ‘The Japanese’ stands out as Andermatt’s sole receiver of 2 Michelin stars. The kitchen is led by executive Chefs Toffolon Fabio & Sato Dominik. These twin culinary maestros have been honoured with the esteemed Blancpain Young Chef Award 2023, recognising their early-career dedication and extraordinary achievements. ‘The Restaurant’ offers four interactive show kitchens, where Asian and European culinary delights are crafted right before your eyes. Every dish is meticulously prepared under the watchful guidance of Chef Kypke Carsten, ensuring an amazing dining experience.

The Wine library can seat 50-plus people, with a large selection of worldwide high-end wines available. Renowned wineries host evening wine tastings at the Chedi. The Cigar Lounge offers a more intimate venue, seating twelve around a roaring fireplace. The walk-in humidor houses the finest Cuban cigars, which can be accompanied by a single malt cognac, fortified wine or digestive.

The Chedi is home to a beautiful spa and health club that extends to 2,400 square metres, boasting a 35 metre indoor pool and 12 metre outdoor pool. The spa includes several baths and saunas, a steam bath, warm and cold water plunge pools, a hammam, an ice fountain and flower baths. Deeply rooted in Far-Eastern philosophy, their rejuvenating spa treatments call on traditional Asian healing arts.
