ENJOY OUR RANGE OF EXCLUSIVE SKI RESORTS
Alta Badia combines the beauty of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with Ladin traditions and culture, and a ski area with direct connection to over 500 km of slopes. Bolzano is the gateway to the Dolomites, and with a new flight route from London Gatwick to Bolzano launching this year, it is easier than ever to access Alta Badia and its attractions on and off the mountains.

THE REGION
Alta Badia Skiing
VARIED PISTES AND STUNNING SCENERYThe picturesque village of San Cassiano lies at the heart of the largest ski area in Europe. Take the Piz Sorega gondola from the village centre and you’re transported right into the heart of the Alta Badia ski region. From here you can ski gently over rolling terrain from San Cassiano to Armentarola. Alternatively, you could ski across to Corvara where you will find the entry point to the extensive Sellaronda route for those looking for more of a challenge. If you’re looking for something a bit more adventurous, a few options to try are the notorious World Cup giant slalom piste, the Gran Risa, or head across to the ‘Hidden Valley’ of Lagazuoi. The latter is one of the most memorable runs in the region surrounded by frozen waterfalls and soaring rock walls. If you are looking for or an off-piste challenge, there is plenty to explore with a mountain guide, including the skiing of the Val Mezdi.
Alta Badia Highlights
ACTIVITIES AND GASTRONOMYWe have hand-picked some of our favourite things to do and places to eat that we have discovered throughout our many years working in Alta Badia. Our client concierge team will be happy to make reservations and give additional recommendations for you. You’ll find our top picks below.
San Cassiano is a great point to access the famous Sellaronda circuit. The loop is 40km in total and a guaranteed great day on the slopes for relatively experienced skiers. The route is also home to a great selection of mountain restaurants.
There is an abundance of high profile gastronomy in the Alta Badia region, and it is home to a unique event – Sommelier on the Slopes. Tour Alta Badia with a sommelier ski guide and enjoy sampling the finest wines. This winter there will be three new additions with food, so participants will eat a menu paired with local wines.
Explore this world-class ski run with frozen waterfalls, fantastic views and 8km of incredible downhill slopes. When you’re finished, you’ll be towed back to the ski resort by a horse-drawn carriage.
This celebrated restaurant won its third Michelin star in 2018 and has continued to go from strength to strength. In addition to three stars, St. Hubertus was awarded with the green star in 2020, a new award related to sustainable gastronomy. The menu focuses on Alpine and Ladin flavours and changes with the seasons. Advance bookings are essential, contact our client concierge team to guarantee yourself a spot and try some delicious South Tyrolean cuisine.
