For those who love to get away to the beautiful mountains and relax in alpine paradise but who prefer to keep their feet on terra firma rather than zooming down the slopes, we've introduced our Mountain Host Programme to ensure that every moment of our guests' holiday is packed with enjoyable experiences.
We take pride in ensuring that every one of our guests has an unforgettable holiday. That means taking extra special care of our guests that prefer spa treatments and exploring the area on foot over spending their days on skis. Our dedicated Mountain Hosts will be on hand to ensure you make the most of all the activities off the mountain.
Client coffee morning
At the start of your holiday, a member of the Powder Byrne team meets all our non-skiing guests for an introductory coffee morning to discuss which activities they'd like to arrange during their stay. All activities can be booked as and when it suits you and if there’s something else you’re interested in, we’d be happy to organise it for you. Our shuttles will be on hand to get you there with no hassle and we can help to coordinate meeting up with any skiers in your party for lunches on the mountain.
Winter walks & snowshoeing
Enjoy the unique winter landscape around your resort by exploring on one of our guided walks or hikes. Each of our resorts boast between 40km-80km of marked hiking trails, providing a relaxing and peaceful way to explore the alpine environment. If you wish to go off the beaten track, a snowshoe guide can be arranged for exploring the quieter parts of the mountain where you will see animal tracks and perhaps even some of the wildlife that inhabits the local area.
For even more of a workout, why not try your hand at cross-country skiing. You can choose between the classic and the skating style and rent the appropriate skis and equipment in the village. Our Mountain Hosts can help coordinate cross-country skiing instruction from the local ski school and a PB shuttle will always be on hand to transport you to and from the skiing trails.
There are a whole host of other activites for you to experience in your chosen resort, from indoor or outdoor ice skating and curling to horse-drawn sleigh rides, sledging and tobogganing. For those seeking a more relaxing and indulgent experience, many of the hotels and properties across our portfolio are home to world class spa and treatment facilities.
A special thank you to Tom for all his help and for organising snowshoeing and spa bookings for me while my family were off skiing.
We had a great time on the winter walk. Thanks to Olly for being a fantastic guide!
It was ideal to be able to catch the cable car up to meet with the rest of the group for lunch on the mountain. Freddie did a great job coordinating.
