Children’s Club Manager

Powder Byrne is renowned for our premier childcare services, providing exclusive ski clubs for children aged 4 to 14 years.

The Yeti Club is for children aged between 4 and 9 years and the SnoZone is for 9-14 years. Children are taught to ski by local ski instructors in our private groups under the supervision of our staff. As the children become more confident on skis they progress from the nursery area up the slopes and ski in different ability groups around the resort.

This is a key role in the resort and would suit someone who can manage the logistics of organising a professional children’s club operation in a challenging mountain environment. You will be responsible for the safety of children, and the management of a team and be expected to lead from the front to make the setting a fun place. An energetic approach is essential!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the effective day-to-day running of the Children’s Club
  • Providing a safe and fun ski experience for our younger guests, to and from the slopes as well as on them
  • Providing pastoral care on the slopes, during meal times, activities and providing daily feedback to the parents
  • Running and planning game sessions both on and off the slopes
  • Managing a team of Children’s Club Assistants and organising an ad-hoc babysitting rota
  • Carrying out Risk Assessments
Requirements:
  • Childcare experience (with ages between 4 to 14 years) and relevant resort experience (desirable)
  • Confident red run skier (10 weeks minimum)
  • Customer service experience with excellent client and communication skills
  • Team player, adaptable, resourceful, patient and diplomatic
  • Full, clean driving licence (desirable)
  • Aged 21 or over (preferred)
  • UK or EU Passport
  • Appropriate number of Schengen Area (EU) travel allocation days to complete contracted dates(UK passport holders can only travel to the area for 90 days every 180 days)
Dates:

Winter season peak weeks (Christmas/New Year, February Half Term & Easter)

Commitment to all three peak weeks (desirable)

Package:

Accommodation, return travel to resort, uniform, winter sports travel insurance, technical ski kit, ski and boot hire, ski pass, competitive resort salary.

Additionally, you could earn £150* by referring a Resort Driver who completes a successful contract with Powder Byrne. Terms and conditions apply.

All you need to do:

  • Introduce a new friend via email, or your friend must mention that you have referred them.
  • Your friend must be offered and accept a role with Powder Byrne.
  • Your friend must complete their training and contract to the Powder Byrne standard.
  • You will receive your reward at the end of the season.

Terms, Conditions, Eligibility & Exclusions apply: Only applies to new referees unknown to Powder Byrne. A referee can only be referred by one person and must work for Powder Byrne within 6 months of being referred. Referrers must have worked for Powder Byrne previously. Powder Byrne decides what the ‘Powder Byrne standard’ is. Excludes anyone working in the Powder Byrne office roles. Powder Byrne can amend the terms, conditions, eligibility and exclusions at any time, including withdrawing this offer.
