Amazing noodles can be found all over Niseko, but Sobadokoro Rakuichi is generally considered to be the best. The chef’s hand-made buckwheat noodles are a taste sensation as is the tempura. Reservations are necessary if you want to secure a table.
Niseko is well-known for its high-quality spring water and many hotels have their own private ‘Onsen’ or hot spring baths. Ki Niseko has its own exclusive spring-water source with high mineral content, perfect for soothing and refreshing your tired legs after a full day of skiing the incredible Niseko Powder.
For a different type of activity suitable for the whole family, try your hand at snowshoeing or snow-tubing. Hire a rubber ring or strap on some snow shoes and hit the powder for some winter family fun.
A firm favourite with kids, Milk Kobo serve up fresh pastries daily, made with fresh milk from a local ranch. The signature cream puff is a highly popular choice and sells out quickly every day.
Hirafu and Niseko Village are home to several stores selling all things Japanese from antiques and artwork to quirky souvenirs and designer brands.

CONSISTENT POWDER THROUGHOUT THE SEASONFamed for its high volume of light fluffy powder snow, Niseko is Japan’s premier ski destination with a ski area that offers a great selection of runs and trails for all abilities. Wide, gentle pistes await for beginners and intermediates and more confident skiers will have access to some infamous off-piste bowls and tree skiing. Much of the pisted slopes (and a good proportion of the unpisted, yet patrolled ski terrain) has a gentle gradient making it ideal for most skiers to enjoy, and the spectacular views of the iconic snow-capped volcano of Mt. Yotei never cease to amaze. In addition to the usual ski day, floodlit night skiing is available until 8:30 pm every evening, with access to the lifts included on your ski pass.
