ARRIVAL IN SRI LANKA
When you land in Negombo, you’ll be greeted by a private driver who will transfer you and your luggage to your accommodation. Here you can unpack, unwind and relax as you settle in and take advantage of the hotel services.
The next few days will be spent exploring the famous fishing village of Negombo, there’s plenty to do with Churches, shops and restaurants all around as you take in the culture. You’ll also enjoy an intriguing private boat tour of The Dutch Canal, learning all about its fascinating history before heading home for your last night in Negombo.
MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK
Following breakfast, you’ll be transferred in style to the stunning Sigiriya where you’ll quickly settle into your accommodation before your afternoon safari. You’ll next enjoy an afternoon jeep safari around Minneriya National Park, where you’ll spot a variety of rare, native animals.
Sigiriya Rock Fortress is a famous World Heritage Site, this outstanding landmark is the ultimate tourist attraction and perhaps one of the most admired wonders on the Island. Following this, you’ll get to visit Polonnaruwa, another World Heritage Site this Ancient City is not to be missed.
After spending your final night in Sigiriya you’ll enjoy a great day out visiting Habarana, a traditional Sri Lankan rural village and get a taste of their culture and way of life. From here you will be transferred to Kandy where you’ll be given the evening to rest and settle in.
The first stop on your tour of Kandy will be the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, Sri Lanka’s largest botanical gardens. You’ll then visit the Temple of the Tooth which dates back as far as the 14th Century and it filled with architectural brilliance. To finish your day, you’ll be treated to a spectacular cultural performance in true Sri Lankan tradition.
Sri Lanka is famous for its tea, so to round off your trip to Kandy you’ll spend today enjoying a tour around the local Tea Estate. You’ll get the opportunity to see the whole process from start to finish and get a better understanding of how tea is produced before indulging in a tasting session at the end of the tour.
Following a good night’s sleep in Kandy, you will be transferred by your private driver to Wasaduwa. Here you can spend your final few days in Sri Lanka relaxing on the beach, or by the pool and make the most of this beautiful country.
LEAVING SRI LANKA
After breakfast, you’ll be given ample time to pack your belongings before you’re transferred to your departure flights. Your driver will ensure you arrive within plenty of time to check in and board your flight.
