The Ganges is the most sacred river to Hindus and spreads over 2,525 km across the boundary through India and Bangladesh. This is the third largest river in the world by discharge and empties into the Bay of Bengal. The Ganges is the lifeline to millions of Indians who live along its course and depend on it for their daily needs.
Sri Harmandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple is named after Hari the temple of God. This beautiful temple is a central religious place of the Sikhs, but also a symbol of human brotherhood and equality. This incredible golden spectacle represents the distinct identity, glory and heritage of the Sikhs.
This flamboyant capital of India's Rajasthan State epitomises the glamorous flavour, beauty and colour of the royal family that once ruled the region in 1727. A walk down the Old City, know as the "Pink City" for its famous pink buildings and you will pass the majestic courtyards, museums and gardens which will take you back to the days of the royal residence.
KANHA TIGER RESERVE
Explore the vast grasslands of the Kanha National Park Tiger Reserve, which is located in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Follow your guide into the land of the tigers and watch the animals gather at the watering holes of Sondar Tank and Babathenga Tank where you will see birds of prey, tigers, jackals and wild pig.
Step through the Suraj Pol, otherwise known as the Sun Gate and enter into this magnificent fort located in Amer, Rajasthan just 4 kn from Jaipur. Standing hill on the hill in pale yellow and pink sandstone this is a spectacle for miles around. Take the journey back in time and imagine the victorious armies returning and enjoying the spoils of war inside the four sections and wandering courtyards.
