Popular with high profile visitors and royalty from around the world, this quaint but classy Arlberg village doesn’t need much introduction. As the birthplace of modern day skiing and with locals describing it as the ‘diamond in the snow’, its pistes offer something for every ability.
This tiny hamlet packs quite a punch, with beautiful scenery, access to one of the largest skiing areas in Austria and a wonderful alpine feeling. Its super snowy microclimate and high altitude means you can enjoy this exclusive resort throughout the whole season, with all hotels within easy walking distance of the lifts (some with ski-in/ski-out convenience).
With fantastic restaurants, and great shopping at Strolz also available, you won't wont for things to do in Zurs.
Zurs is part of the world-famous Arlberg region, where the sport of downhill skiing was we know it today was first developed. Renowned for its champion skiers, quality snow and endless runs, over 284km of pistes will keep you busy. We highly recommend Red 10 as one of the best runs in the resort; it's long and challenging and on a clear day you get some absolutely amazing views.
The region's super snowy microclimate and high altitude means you can enjoy this exclusive resort throughout the whole season.
The exclusive feel in the village is accompanied by the gourmet cuisine offered both in Zurs itself and in the surrounding region. With a selection of over 20 different mountain restaurants and bars to choose from, it’s easy to understand how some people don’t just come for the skiing.
One restaurant we particularly recommend for lunch is Murmeli in nearby Oberlech. It only has 42 seats so is quite intimate and has some of the best food and wine in the region, this restaurant books up early so if you're interested in us securing a reservation please let us know when you book your holiday.
Zurs is packed to the brim with activities for those who want a day off the slopes, with extensive cross country skiing trails, winter walking, ice skating, tobogganing, ice climbing and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Our in-resort team is happy to advise you on what's available and take care of booking any activities for your family.
All of ours hotels in Zurs have fantastic spas available for you to relax after a long and active day of skiing and winter activities, but one that stands out is the classic spa in the Zurserhof Hotel that offers saunas, whirlpools, plunge pools, snow pools and more.
You'll also find the fog grotto, infrared sauna, Finnish sauna and swimming pool available in the Albona Nova Hotel.
You'll fly to Zurich International Airport or Friedrichshafen and will be transferred to resort by our team either in a luxury coach or private transfer.
