Ski Touring Weekend

We're offering you the chance to experience one of the world's great ski touring routes in the heart of the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. Join us on a fully organised weekend ski touring adventure from Grindelwald, staying overnight in the Koncordiaplatz Hut, with skiing and touring on the magnificent Aletsch glacier, over the weekend of 12th to 14th April 2013. We've teamed up with our friends in Grindelwald to bring you the ultimate weekend away, fully supported by professional mountain guides, providing you with all the kit and know-how to enjoy a unique weekends skiing.

We're looking for teams of 4 to 5 skiers who will be accompanied by their own guide for the duration of the tour. The tour is ideal for groups of friends, family or colleagues who want to try something different, enjoy a unique weekend escape at the end of the season, with the peace of mind that everything is seamlessly arranged by Powder Byrne.  You'll be kitted out with all the necessary equipment, from touring boots, skis, skins, transceivers, probes, shovels etc, and you'll be given a kit list for everything else you'll need to bring.

Accommodation is arranged at the lovely 4-star Hotel Belvedere in Grindelwald for Friday 12th April. Saturday evening will be spent in the somewhat less luxurious setting of the Koncordiaplatz Hut; however, we can guarantee a warm welcome, a hearty meal and a dramatic overnight experience! Click here for the external link to the hut's website for full details and webcams.
