The Village

Famously known locally as Switzerland's diamond in the snow, the resort of Lenzerheide is situated in a snow-clad powder bowl surrounded by a mountain panorama - guests will not be disappointed by the breathtaking scenery Lenzerheide offers.

Little known outside Switzerland, Lenzerheide's empty pistes feel as if they were groomed especially for you, providing each skier in your party with a personal experience. Cruise through trees and immerse yourself in Lenzerheide's alpine culture and you glide past Michelin starred mountain restaurants, chalets and bars.

Ed Leigh, presenter of BBC Ski Sunday, was quoted in the Financial Times' Pink Snow edition in October 2013 saying, "I've taken the opportunity to explore some lesser-known resorts. The most recent gem I've found is Lenzerheide in Switzerland. It has terrain to suit every skier and plenty of altitude to ensure fresh snow."

The Skiing

The resort has recently seen a dramatic improvement in its ski terrain with the 1.7km double-track cable car uniting it with the resort of Arosa, in the adjacent valley to the north. The cable car, with a capacity of 150 skiers, connects the Hornli of Arosa with the Urdenfurggli in Lenzerheide. Recent developments also include two six man chairs to form a new link from Heimberg to Urdenfurggli via Motta, transforming both resorts and catapulting them into the top 10 Swiss ski areas with a fully linked domain of 42 lifts and 225km of pistes, at an altitude of 1,230-2,865m.

This huge combined ski area offers plenty of thigh burning runs to suit even the most multi-seasoned, grizzled skier, Arosa-Lenzerheide has thus become the largest continuous ski area in Graubunden.

Lenzerheide is the perfect place for little ones to learn or improve their skiing in our Yeti programme, and older children and teens will have a wonderful time honing their skills on the slopes in SnoZone. With a very good nursery slope area complete with magic carpets/tow ropes, your little ones are sure to have a ball.

The kids will love the Audi Funslope whilst they're in Lenzerheide! We invite you to watch the video below to find out all about it and see young skiers in action!

Our clients thrive off the 'Sanaspans' run as it is a 1500 vertical meter off-piste descent from the top of 'Rothorn' (2865m) all the way down to 'Lenzerheide' (1475m). When the conditions are right it means you can ski all day long in fresh powder. A run known very well by the locals is called the 'speed' which has everything to offer from long wide flatter sections for carving to steeper parts for picking up speed.

Restaurant and Bars

Whether you're a serious skier or long lazy luncher, the range of restaurants in these joined resorts leaves nothing to be desired.

The views from the Panoramarestaurant Rothorngipfel high above Lenzerheide are mesmerising thanks to the large picture windows, which allow you to take in views that look west across the snow-bound valley below and over hundreds upon hundreds of jagged white peaks.

Within Lenzerheide and Arosa the interest in food and drink goes well beyond carbs and pick-me-ups as they are home to some superb mountain restaurants. The Bergrestaurant Scharmoin, Piz Scalottas, Marola Hutte, Alp Nova, Carmennahutte and the Hornlihutte will all entice you to stay.

Winter Activities

Indulge in some off the slope action in the idyllic countryside of white forests and frozen lakes. Whether you enjoy hiking in the snow or trying out over 50km of cross-country tracks, using the eight natural ice rinks or tobogganing down the slopes, there's something to tickle everyone's fancy.

Spas and Fitness

The BergSpa at the Hotel Schweizerhof is delighted to welcome you to the largest hammam in the Alps! The entire Wellness Oasis at this hotel is a treat, with everything from whirlpools to relaxing saunas and a full range of treatments. It's hard to see how this slice of heaven could get any better with its Turkish baths, saunas, steam baths and ample massages - relaxation is guaranteed.

At the Priva Alpine Lodge rest those weary ski legs within the indoor pool or work off those extra indulgences in the fitness room. Massages and beauty treatments are available upon request.

The gorgeous wellness tower at the Valbella Inn comes complete with everything you'd expect from an Alpine resort. With saunas, steam baths, hot stone lounges, salt and ice exfoliation, massages and beauty treatments you'll be in the epicentre of luxury. Additionally, there is also an indoor pool with Jacuzzi and a gym in the main building.
