The Village

Gstaad is a world-famous, sophisticated and cosy chalet village in the centre of Switzerland's Oberland region.

This fairytale village offers stunning views, a certain picturesque charm and most importantly, a great skiing location. The traffic-free village also offers a buzzing centre full of shops, high-quality restaurants, hotels and bars - there are endless opportunities to do something exciting, visit or explore.

The Skiing

With over 220km of pistes and 49 lifts to enjoy, the Gstaad ski stretch is one of the biggest and most snow-assured in Switzerland.

Gstaad is a skier's paradise that really does have something for every level of skier; we recommend the runs just off Eggli for a pleasant descent with good snow.

There are also four different snow parks for the adrenaline junkies to pull their best tricks to the test, with giant jumps, plenty of freestyle facilities, half pipes and a giant inflatable cushion ideal for practicing flips.

Restaurant and Bars

Gastronomy is far from ignored in Gstaad, as guests can choose from a variety of over 100 restaurants and bars to enjoy themselves in. With plenty of different styles of cuisines - originating from all over the planet - on offer here, you and your family's culinary desires and tastes will easily be satisfied. Like the gastronomic barbecue-style food or the 16 Art Bar and Restaurant, the cosy cottage meals of Bergbeizli Stierentungel, or the traditional Swiss cuisine of the Gasthaus Rossli.

Spas and Fitness

If you want to relax after a long, active and most of all tiring day then Gstaad is the resort for you. You won't even need to leave your hotel, as the Grand Hotel Park offers a wide selection of pampering and unwinding treatments and facilities- like their salt water swimming pool, their Turkish baths or even their fitness room.

If you do want to get out of the hotel for some relaxation time you can head to the Wellness Destination, where you can enjoy their quality spa treatments and numerous amenities.

Winter Activities

Gstaad is not only a ski resort; it offers the possibility of enjoying various other winter activities. Especially unique is the renowned hot air ballooning over snowy mountains with stunning views and a soothing setting.

There are also plenty of other activities to participate in, like hiking paths and trails to explore with your family and friends that includes sledging, 'Husky Tour' dog-sledging, carriage promenades, snowshoeing and much more.
