Picturesque, sophisticated and rustic, with great skiing for all abilities, the chocolate box village of Grindelwald is dramatically set in magnificent scenery, beneath the mighty Eiger.
The picturesque resort of Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland is a classic Swiss village with a bags of charm.
Grindelwald is ideal for novices thanks to the designated ‘Bodmi’ beginners’ area. There is extensive skiing for intermediates with links to Wengen and Murren, with fantastic off-piste and itinerary routes for advanced skiers. The infamous Lauberhorn World Cup downhill ski run is a great challenge for skiers in Switzerland and our mountain guides will oversee some fantastic heli-skiing when the conditions allow.
For off the slopes action there’s a range of winter sports including 90km of tobogganing runs. If you’re after something more relaxing try a horsedrawn carriage ride. For those seeking an adrenalin kick zoom through the air at 80 km/h on the First Flyer – an aerial cableway included on your ski pass.
For rustic charm and ambience, combined with traditional restaurants, stunning views and great skiing, then Grindelwald is perfect.
One thing’s for sure, Grindelwand is the perfect place for kids learning to ski in Switzerland. They'll have the best time on the excellent nursery area in our Yeti programme and the more advanced will benefit from challenging skiing with our instructors.

Located just over 2 1/2 hours from Zurich or Basel airports, Grindelwald is perfect for a family getaway in awe-inspiring scenery. It truly is the perfect setting for an action-packed ski holiday.
