What is a Yeti? A pretty simple question but for someone who hasn’t travelled with us before we sure know this would be a tough one to answer. Well, a Yeti is a child of one of our clients who is aged from 4 to 9 years old enrolled in our children’s programme. We place them in groups that suit their current ability and then the fun really begins.
On the first day of your holiday you’ll accompany the kids down to the hotel boot room where our Yeti assistants will help them get booted up. Ready are raring to go the kids are then off. We shuttle them down to the meeting point and assign them into groups depending on their ages and abilities. These groups do change in the first day or so as we’re assessing each child’s ability, this is to make sure they are safe on the slopes and have an amazing time.
Each Yeti team has a qualified ski teacher who ensures they learn, progress on the slopes and become better skiers. While the Yeti assistant is there to look after them and make sure the children are having lots of fun and behaving! The assistants also supervise lunches on the mountain, yeti suppers in the evening, dvd night and babysitting.
After enjoying a successful week on the slopes with us, on the last day we put on a Yeti race for all the kids. This is a bit of fun for the kids and to show all of their parents how well they have done (and how amazing they’ve become at skiing), also to hand out some well deserved medals!
Hopefully this gives you an idea of what a Yeti is. Being one of our most popular kids programmes, we’ve seen children grow through the ranks of a Yeti, to SnoZoner, all the way through to our P2P course. It gives you the chance to relax and enjoy the pistes while you can revel in the knowledge that your children are having fun, and learning how to ski.
