Highlights

Uruguay is the second smallest country in South America and often referred to as the "Switzerland of Latin America".
With half of the population of 3.5m people living in the capital city Montevideo, the majority of the country is sparsely populated. It is not uncommon for Estancias (Ranches) to have fields of over 100 hectares making it perfect for a riding adventure.

The people of this beautiful country are known for being very environmentally conscious; therefore, the countryside and beaches are very clean and well taken care of, making it a truly spectacular place to visit.

Our Air & Space programme offers you the perfect way to experience the countryside and Atlantic beaches of Uruguay alongside your dedicated Powder Byrne Riding Guide and one of the local Gauchos, who's knowledge and experience of the area is second to none.

Suggested Itinerary

Our horse riding holiday takes you through ranches, wetlands, forests and the wonderful wild Atlantic beaches of Uruguay.

The tour is designed for all levels of riders; you do not need to be an expert at horsemanship in order to have a fabulous time and really take something away from this unique experience. The horses we provide are hand-picked by the Gauchos and matched to the ability of the rider.
