During your ten day adventure you can experience primordial cloudforests, volcanoes, wild jungle canals, beautiful beaches and stunning hotels and lodges. You’ll visit both Pacific and Atlantic coasts, Tortuguero National Park, famous for its rare sea turtle nesting sites, and venture into the land of the jaguar, the monkey and the sloth.

This Air & Space family discovery really has it all - from exploring Costa Rica's renowned wildlife and the natural beauty of volcanoes and hot springs to adrenaline fuelled ziplines across the rainforest canopy and rest and relaxation in the most breathtaking accommodation settings.
Arriving at San José there'll be time to acclimatise before the adventure really begins. You'll stay overnight in the capital before heading towards the Caribbean side of Costa Rica on day 2.
You'll get your first glimpses of Costa Rican wildlife in Tortuguero National Park during your canal boat transfer to Tortuguero to arrive at your jungle lodge.
Day 3 sees you taking a morning boat tour of the Tortuguero National Park to take in the local wildlife and scenery before embarking on a nature hike through Mawamba Park, home to an impressive variety of local wildlife like frogs, lizards, butterflies and an abundance of tropical birds. Visit the village of Tortuguero to get a taste of local life in the area.
You'll also be able to take in the once in a lifetime event of watching baby turtles as they hatch and make their way to the sea if you're travelling during their hatching season.
Leaving the Caribbean side we head west on day 4 to the Arenal Volcano region where the volcano dominates the rainforested valley.
On days 5 through 7 you'll stay in a hotel with its very own natural hot springs, and experience all the action and adventure Costa Rica has to offer.
First, you can explore the rainforest with a bird's eye view; you have the choice between taking the scenic and educational hanging bridges tour, or the slightly more adventurous canopy tour of the world-renowned zipline wires in Arenal.
The next day you'll get your feet back on the ground and then into the saddle, a fabulous horseback riding tour to La Fortuna waterfall awaits you. Take a refreshing swim in the calm pool at the base of La Fortuna before heading back to the hotel for a much deserved meal and a soak in the natural hot springs.
On day 7 we head to the Pacific Coast, with your next 3 night stay at El Parador Hotel.
Enjoy pristine beaches in the lush Manual Antonio National Park with snorkelling, swimming and watersports aplenty. You'll stay in the lap of luxury at the 5 star Manual Antonio Hotel, where staff will cater to your every need in the most splendid of natural surroundings.
Spend your days taking in the coast line, hiking in the rainforest, sampling local cuisine and enjoying the very best of what Costa Rica has to offer.
Flora & Fauna - You will discover and learn so much about the birdlife, wildlife, flora and fauna for which Costa Rica is so famous.
Zipline - Whizz through the rainforest canopy on zipline wires to gain a unique view of the forest below you. A great experience, not to be missed.
Arenal Volcano Region - The active Arenal Volcano dominates the rainforested valley. Take the sky tram to view the Volcano from safe observation points and you may sometimes feel the ground vibrate and often the night sky explodes with ash and lava.
Manual Antonio National Park - Here you will have time to swim, snorkel, hike, kayak or simply relax amid beautiful green forest and white beaches of what many would describe as Costa Rica’s prettiest spot. You can even take a catamaran cruise to view humpback whales and dolphins.
Night Jungle Walk - At the Mawamba Lodge take a guided night walk into the jungle, or if you are visiting in July to September see the Turtles nesting on the beach.
Poás Volcano and La Paz Waterfall - Situated in a lush national park, the Poás Volcano is an impressive sight with its large crater and sulfur fumaroles, the region around the volcano is home to a myriad of local wildlife and a wide array of different ecosystems. After seeing the volcano you'll journey to La Paz waterfall gardens; five waterfalls, a cloud forest and rainforest containing hiking trails, as well as an abundance of wildlife. You'll find an aviary with 40 species of birds, toucan feeding, a butterfly observatory and a hummingbird garden with over 26 documented species, a serpentarium and a petting zoo, just to name a few of the different types of birds and animals. You'll also find a huge variety of local wildlife such as marmoset monkeys, two-toned sloths, capuchin monkeys, ocelots, jaguars, pumas and much more.
Monteverde Cloudforest - This is the Cloudforest of legend and film. Voted one of Costa Rica’s seven natural wonders, Monteverde is a place of tranquillity, literally in the clouds above the rainforest. Explore using the hanging bridges of the Monteverde Cloudforest Canopy reserve. These tree-top walkways and hanging bridges criss-cross the rainforest in a circuit of two miles.
Monteverde Orchid Gardens - The gardens are a biodiversity research and conservation project, which you contribute to by visiting. There are 1400 different types of orchid in Costa Rica, 500 of which are found in Monteverde. The orchid garden itself boasts 426 types.
