Your Powder Byrne Rockies adventure begins in Vancouver, where a stay at the Fairmont Hotel offers nothing but first class service and luxury. The first few days offer you the chance to take a trip to the traditional Vancouver Island for a magical whale watching experience. Whilst back on the mainland you can take your time to experience everything that the city of Vancouver has to offer.

Enjoy a private city tour of Vancouver on your fourth day where you can visit historic, Gastown, the 1,000 acre Stanley Park, Queen Elizabeth Park with its Sunken Gardens and panoramic view of the downtown core and the North Shore Mountains. You may also enjoy a trip to Vancouver Aquarium as a family before boarding your overnight train to Jasper. Experience this Canadian right of passage, the sleeper train, in pure luxury. Enjoy a private en-suite bedroom complete with two bathrooms, two closets and enough beds for the whole family.

Your time in Jasper offers the opportunity to take the mountains on a hike to Mount Edith Cavell or alternatively take some time to relax in the fantastic spa facilities available. The adventure continues on from Jasper where you will visit and explore the famous icefields en route to Emerald Lake , with the chance to enjoy a breathtaking helicopter tour if you wish.

Enjoy your night's stay in Emerald Lake; experience the lake on foot or alternatively cruise across the lake by canoe. Onwards to Banff. With three nights here, there's plenty of time to enjoy fly-fishing in the Blue Ribbon Trout waters or horse back riding in the Banff National Park. If that's not enough then there's still time to visit the Banff Gondola, play a round of golf or even spend an evening at the Banff Upper Hot Springs.

You'll then spend two nights in beautiful Banff, where you can enjoy a round of golf or a hike in the stunning national park. You can also enjoy a scenic helicopter flight, taking in the local area from thy ski with panoramic overviews of mountain ranges, valley floors with glacier-fed lakes and majestic waterfalls. An extraordinary adventure not to be missed!

From Banff you'll journey on to Calgary where our Canadian Rockies adventure holidays end. There will be time to explore the city at your leisure before flying home.

Getting There

Flights to Vancouver with BA or Air Canada are approximately 10 hours, with a 40 minute transfer from the airport to the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

The transfer from Fairmont Banff Springs to Calgary airport is around 2 hours with return flights home approximately 8 hours from Calgary.
